Über das Projekt
To reflect Sabcomeed’s mission, we decided to focus their site’s narrative on Yemen’s rich and ancient coffee tradition. The website is as much about the country’s intimate ties to the bean as the bean itself. Information on the producers, their mission, and the source of the beans are readily available. Visitors can also get a glimpse of coffee history through an interactive timeline more reminiscent of a museum than a coffee retailer.

The site needed to be about the coffee, the tradition and the producers, and that’s what we made it. Yemen’s coffee is unquestionably the best in the World, and we worked to reflect that as much as we could. We put in a good deal of attention to our illustrations. Every illustration depicts some aspect of Yemen’s ancient coffee culture, or the production of the bean.
